It's suggested behaviours in psychology and criminology those that harm animals go on to harm other things, such as humans. I'd probably suggest that they would also go on to harm children. What is a very well known psychological trait is children who harm animals have probably themselves been abused in childhood. Your own comment is very telling itself, I quote.... 'Also this whole faux outrage when the likes of that gorilla got killed. I live in stoke and if I woke up to someone saying all the world's gorillas had been wiped out, how does it affect me?' This is what I don't get about animal activists. Watched a documentary about a lioness. She was all alone so they took male lions from elsewhere to live with her. The males kept dying and they had to bury the bodies as the kkkck out juice would have killed scavengers They finally found twin lions to survive. So they killed about 4 to save one and she never mated iirc

When did that whole testing on fruit flies (part of the whole is evolution real) they found the real flies wouldn't have **** all to do with the mutated or created flies

I had lamb chops and potato curry today. Think I have gone off meat. Just tastes funny to me no matter where I eat it. Mate I did the thread tongue in cheek.to create some discussion Fyi I think some of what is killing the animals and indeed us is scientific break through that are "benefitting" us Take the wheat kernel. It used to be bigger but hard to grow. Then a scientist messed with it and created a strand that is smaller but easier to grow. That is what is grown in India etc. The scientist is accredited with saving millions of lives as wheat can be grown in desert like conditions and people don't starve. The downside is that this kernel is higher in gluten etc and so has adverse effects on the body. May even be a reason for diabetes in the 3rd world (places where diabetes was never an issue as they were starving)
