Bristol Rovers have announced the signing of free agent Angelo Balanta, subject to a medical.
The 24-year-old moves to the Memorial Stadium for the remainder of the season after being released by Premiership club Queens Park Rangers.
Manager Darrell Clarke said: "I am really pleased to bring Angelo to the club, he is a talented player with a good pedigree.
"He can play as a left winger or a striker, and will offer us some creativity in the final third.
"He is a player who can unlock defences and help us create the goals we have been lacking."
Born in Columbia, Balanta moved to England and progressed through the QPR youth system, before breaking into the first team in 2007.
He made his first team debut as a substitute in December 2007, and his first start for the club later the same month.
In November 2008, Balanta moved on loan to League Two side Wycombe Wanderers for three months.
In June 2010 he moved on loan MK Dons for the entire season, before going back for a further two spells with them.
After returning to QPR he moved to Yeovil on loan in March 2013, where he saw out the rest of the 2012/13 season.
In July 2014 Balanta was released by QPR after seven years with the club.
