Not at all Ivor, I think you got it spot on. <OK> His one big deficit is his lack of pace.

Personally, I think Jazz is a more complete, all round player; lacking in experience maybe, but has the tools and given the chance has a far better upside than Rangel. I can't really comment on Obeng based on the reserve highlights, but like you said, he wasn't acquired to polish boots, so next season I would hope that he will challenge for the right back spot. And let's be honest ... we've seen Caulker there (all be it with Monk on his inside - not exactly going to give one a sense of comfort and confidence), we've seen Tate there .... other than Rangel, I think I'd prefer seeing Jazz or Obeng, and if Rangel was ever injured I'd have no reservation about playing Jazz.

On his best day Rangel can certainly be as effective an offensive right back in the final third as any there is in the Prem, but it's getting back on the break that let's him down, and Walker for example, with pace to spare, is in a different class.

I think we'd all bend the rules to get him on our team.

. Rangel has lived and played in Wales, so surely that must be the case if he thinks he's eligible for England?

yes its a joke really scott. all that happens is it stops real home players from getting a chance of a call up. I could not care if it was messi or ronaldo who wanted to play for wales, As far as im concerned they have no connection or claim to play for wales and that privilege should go to welsh born (apart from certain exceptions)players....its a joke. Ill even go further...i believe that the manager and coaching staff should be from the country the were born also. that is a true national football team......

    I think you are right.

That was the reason Arteta could not switch to England.

If Rangel is eligible for England then does that not make Britton available for Wales?
