Yep sad day for one of our best. I wish him the best of luck he deserves it.

A legend who i have corresponded with on twitter many times....He will stay where he and his welsh family live and when fit will play for a local LOW side i can see happening.....

Hopefully it was his choice to move on as he wants to continue playing.
I would be hugely disappointed if there is no role for him at Swansea yet a job was invented for Lee Trundle

He is happy with the situation and if he wants to play the odd game then he can sign for a local LOW club.

Huge mistake leaving Rangel leave, unless he wants another season before hanging his boots up.

Rangel has said in the past he'd like to carry on playing for a few seasons after his Swansea days were over.
I'd have liked him to stay ... even more so than Leon TBH.

He is very injury prone these days and we cant afford to carry players that we can't rely on even legends. He will be happy i have no doubt and will find a local club that will take him on for his vast experience i'm sure.....

We should have been keeping him because of his experience.

Keeping Rangel, Leon, Dyer and Routs because of their experience would have been crucial in the championship.

Exactly this - unless Britton and Rangel really are gone and their bodies not up to it a lunatic decision. Championship experience is vital.

Even if they aren't physically able anymore, they should have been kept in some sort of coaching capacity - make them an offer to good to turn down because their experiences etc would be invaluable.

This is another massive **** up by the bellends in charge.

Losing Angel and possibly Leon will move our connection to the club's most amazing period.
And, we lose very useful and talented club men.
It also exacerbates the situation we had this season - not enough players with a feel for the club and the city. Last year Britton and Rangel were instrumental in keeping us up, I believe, because other history with Swansea City.
