We are in rapid decline about time everyone accepts that. Don't be shocked if we are caught up in a relegation battle come the end of the season...
That attack would be fine, but we need a midfield that can win and use the ball for it to have full effect. The attack can`t score if the other team have the ball.
The decline has been on going for about 15 seasons, last year just proved it. We may bounce back for 10 years or so but it won`t hide the fact we are in decline #paperingthecracks
What the last few seasons with and without fergie has shown plus multiple examples from other teams including the RS is that: A great attacking force can get you a long way. The addition of RVP gave united the title even though the midfield was average. You would win all your matches against mid table or lowly opposition because you would score your chances. Of course this would not be good enough against the elite - that is why United came up a cropper each time they met a very good team in the CL for example. Last season. United were poor in defence,no creativity in midfield and didn't score the fewer chances they had against the non elite teams.
I am not sure about a decline for that length of time. But there is no doubt that other teams have been catching up and overtaken United.
United have been in decline since Cantona left. The nine titles, two European Cups, two FA Cups and three League Cups have just been isolated flukes.
Why are United struggling so much to attract players? One year off the top and no one wants to go there
