biggest let down? he's the 4th best player on the planet. and guess what? he's in the last 4 of a grand slam. anything else to him is a bonus because there are 3 better players than him in the world. it's that simple
 
He's got a chance tomorrow but I can't see him beating Nadal in the final even if he does get through. Was hoping Federer would win today as Murray has a better record against the Swiss than he does against Nadal.

Exactly, it would be different if he was rated number 1 in the world, but not winning any slams.

Indeed. The other point some people miss is that the 3 players better than him just happen to be 3 of the best ever to grace a tennis court. Even if he does want England to lose at football (and i know that was taken out of context) I couldn't give a **** - I'd actually be more suspicious of Scots who say they want England to win to be honest!

By biggest letdown, i meant by the media.

I think the guy has had an unbelievable career, without winning a major.

I was sort of asking ( subliminal ), if you would give his mum one.

Aye - in the flesh.

One of my daughters plays tennis and the council refurbed it all from ****ey glass-strewn red ashe to super duper rubbery stuff.

When it opened, Judy, Jamie and Andy were all there - Andy Murray is a ****ing giant, by the way.

His mum was pretty quiet - my boss claimed she was an emotionless, hard woman who only concentrated on her tennis<bittermuir>

Right enough, she kb'd him and pumped his pal...
