I'm sure you all know this already... I think it's the most fantastic news! I think this new partnership will make all the difference to Andy....it's just what he needs. From Sky Sports http://www1.skysports.com/tennis/news/12110/7406009/ I'm a huge Andy fan btw...and have booked two weeks off work so I can stay up through the night to watch the AO
Thanks for posting this, you beat me to it. Yes it is good new indeed. Maybe, just maybe this will be the final piece of the jigsaw to make Andy a slam winner. Could be a winning combination!
I really hope so.....I'll be completely gutted if Andy goes another year without winning a slam. Anyway, WestCountrylalala (btw what do they call you for short round here?) I see you're a female....that's nice...so am I! Not too many of us on here from what I've seen of the place.....I've had a peek in General Chat .....not sure I'll be hanging round there much lol! The horse racing forum's good tho'...and hopefully we can have some interesting tennis chat on here during the AO I've found out, today, from my manager that he doesn't think I can have both weeks of the AO off, as we're short staffed, I booked them last January! I felt like getting him on the floor and punching his lights out, but I like my job so I didn't. I hope it's the second week I get off as I'm expecting Andy to make the semi-final, at least
It's good to have another tennis fan onboard, this place is usually like a morgue especially since sterio left. On the Plymouth forum I get called Mrs lala so you can call me that or just lala if you like, I've felt like a teletubby ever since Christmas Take my advice, don't go on general chat, some of us have tried to clean it up but the dregs of life insist on frequenting the place. Actually I might put up a general chat sticky here on the tennis forum, that way I can delete when I see fit. As for your hols, why not take the wimbledon fortnight instead - or both events!
Thanks lala I'll probably be able to fit in watching most of Wimbledon around my work schedule....I'll make sure I book the Men's Final as a day off, just in case Andy makes it that far. I prefer hard court to grass and the AO is my favourite Slam event...says me who's only been following tennis for 3 years lol. I'll be so disappointed if I don't get the two weeks off... I'll just have to try and be grown up about it. Of course we've got the Olympic Games to look forward too, this year, maybe Andy will win Gold for us!
