The majority of people don't mind being offended up to a point, and if they are thin-skinned enough to be enraged by something completely harmless let them be enraged.
Enraged
Forest Hill
I am afraid we have the enraged by proxy. Since the 1970's we have a growing band of blinkered, know it all meddlers who will take offence on behalf of those that did not have a clue they were being offended. The great sitcoms of the 70's were outlawed by ignorant pant sniffing liberals looking for a hurt when none was there. This has become epidemic in all walks of life and so much so that our civil courts are now flooded with vexatious litigants claiming discrimination and pretend psychological injuries looking to make money on our weak and limp judicial system.
