I'd like to know more about AJ's poss transfer to palace, did we agree to let him talk or did he want to go, i wonder how fans will react to him.
It is possible that Harry had someone else lined up and Johnson could only sign for Palace if that went through.
I personally thought this was the transfer that was going to happen. He declared ages ago he would consider going back to palace and they need a CF. I thought we would get a CF in today, and the fact we havent is the only reason this hasnt gone thru imo. Personally reckon he was there ready to sign if we got a late deal thru.
The Mail is reporting we were after Crouch (again). So the AJ sale may have been needed to fund this. I don't see this as great disloyalty by AJ, and agree with Nutso's comment earlier that all these comings and goings may have a demotivating effect on the player when he's doing well. Just hope the fans don't get on his back.
Best thing for AJ would be to get on the offish and make a joke of it, take the piss out of himself a bit, and all will be forgotten. He wouldn't have been there without the club's permission anyway. Better still, score a hat trick against Brum.

As posted on the other thread - Little bit contradictory in that the club said it fell through due to financial reasons but Redknapp says it's because we couldn't get sufficient cover in time. Poor article really. Something smells a bit fishy.
