    I'd take him back.

He did well here. He'd do well here again.

He's a dim lad with not much character who hasn't made the transition to another city and a club that doesn't play ot his strengths.

Has this been confirmed though because I have been told Alan Smith is, on 60k per week. I suppose we don't really know and the club ain't gonna tell us. Of course the papers have claimed various wage levels in the past but its all guess work. I don't reckon Colo is on 80K for me. He would have been shipped out pronto if he was! Haha

Those are the reported figures, £80k for Colo, £60k for Smith. I suppose we can't know for definite but Colo's high wages are quite possibly the REASON we haven't sold him (no one can match his wages). Considering the transfer fees involved and the amount we were paying players at the time (Duff, Owen, Martins, Viduka etc.) it's a believable figure.

I spoke to Andy Carroll the other day - he said he only went to Liverpool because they offered him £80k a week. He's going to see out his contract, getting lots of injuries along the way and then rejoin Newcastle United on a free transfer.

    You heard it here first...<ok>

I would take him back. You can see he does not want to be there. Probably would not offer more than 7.5-10 million though!

Wouldnt want him back, for loads of reasons mentioned above. Much rather Liverpool accept that 41 million bid from Anzhi for him as we have a 25% sell on clause <diva>

So if we did pay for him, would we not ask for that 25% off otherwise it would be pointless paying ourselves lol!

Or use the 25% to inflate the fee and make it look more impressive.
