You seem to be having a hard time understanding. I don't know why, it's really very simple. You said "we don't know the facts" then you stated some things which are facts, and which apparently you do know. One is that he is in Dublin, then you said "I'm talking about the bloke he was having a fight with." I think it's perfectly reasonable to infer from that that you think there was a fight in Dublin, involving Carroll. Surely any other details are incidental?
I don't think he implied that at all - I took him saying "I'm talking about the bloke he was having a fight with" to be speaking hypothetically.
I've heard it first hand ffs. Why would I make it up? The guy I know has seen the photographer in hospital, like I said, being a Sun photographer himself they are friends. Lol it really doesn't make a difference to me if you believe it or not.
Interestingly, if you search Andy Carroll Dublin in Google news, then the top result is a Sun headline saying 'It's Hammer time at club's Christmas bash in Dublin' and the description says 'West Ham ace Andy Carroll poses for a snap with Irish Sun man Michael Doyle while out on the town in Dublin last night' But if you click on it, the article is removed...
I don't really bother with other forums. It will be in the paper tomorrow without fail. I read the original article about the team going to Dublin and there were photos of them with Sun reporters but it all went arseways at 2.30am or so. The complaint has also been taken to the police.
Blimey, you seem to know an awful lot about the whole thing. You even seem able to predict the future outcome of an event that's only rumoured to have happened in the first place. Talk about quick to judge. That's how lynch mobs start.
I don't know anything nor did I pretend to know anything other than what has already been said, unless you're referring to what I said about it coming out about Carrol defending himself because the journo took his photo, which was just an extended hyperbolic and hypothetical situation. I was merely saying that I wouldn't be surprised that if the rumour does prove to be true, that he will get off with minimal punishment probably for some bogus reason, which is not an unreasonable assumption to make considering similar previous cases involving footballers and celebrities in this kind of incident.
The Sun in London are so excited about the story that they've sent one of their senior journos over to cover the story in Dublin I'm told. The Irish Sun and the Sun work together, no other paper will touch it I imagine as it involves Sun personnel.
Why would no-one else touch it? It's a pretty big story, I'd imagine it will be in all the papers if what you say is true.
is that the same sun that lied about liverpool supporters at hillsbro, and the same sun that lied about west ham fans singing we are racist claret and blue army at old traffoed,, no doubt the team are in Ireland,, and if there was something that went on we will never know the truth because thje sun will blow it up out of proportion,, All the best Brooking
If it's a big enough story, and it sounds like it is, then other papers will surely be all over it. They'll just neglect to mention that the victim worked for the Sun. Also, the rest of the Murdoch press (Sky News, Sky Sports News) will surely have a field day.
Yeah and how do we know West Ham beat Chelsea on Saturday? The Sun reported the scoreline was 3-1 but since they lie about so much other stuff how do we know it's accurate?
Brilliant. Seconds after posing for a picture together theres an eye gauging ear biting (thought I'd chuck in some more rumours) massive beer fuelled rumble! Quality, Irish Christmas parties, got to love 'em.
****ing hell! Do you have some kind of condition? The only fact I do know is that he was in Dublin. The whole team were. Mr. Nice was right. Regarding the fight, I was talking hypothetically. I was not there and I don't know what happened. I am just saying that we don't know the facts and that if there was a fight, we don't know what happened and who was in the wrong. For all we know, Carrol was started on and was just defending himself. If there was eye gouging, it's possible they were in a tussle and Carrol grabbed his face and caught his eye. And no PTF, none of that is fact. Like I say, it may or may not be true, but I am not going to start slagging off one of our players on the basis of some rumour on an Internet forum.
