It's definately not happening as Cwarr is saying he will be playing for us next season.

I really don't get Cwarr, even after so many wrong calls he talks with such utter conviction about his leads. In fairness he has called a few things over the years, but for every fixture prediction there are 5 Gervinho's and Gameiro's!

I'd have him back. I just don't think it will happen. I know people look at Danny Graham and think "well why can't Carroll fit in" but they are very different strikers. Danny Graham is a grafter, he'll run channels for you all day long. This stretches teams and makes space for midfielders to burst into which suits Rodgers playing style. Carroll will do a bit of that but its not his game. He likes to be the focal point and be the link man with fellow attackers and onrushing midfielders.

I think he could do a job for them but Rodgers has stick to his beliefs if he wants to be successful. If we could get him on loan it would be a cracking move. My concern would be he might struggle to get a game and is that then going to see him on the pop getting himself into trouble? I know he has sorted out his private life but not playing can have a bad effect on a player. I think for his own sake he should look elsewhere, he needs to be playing every week as he is at a crucial stage. Hugely talented lad with a big future if someone can use him wisely. What about Hughton at Norwich?

Think there might be a cash problem for CH to take him to Norwich.

My problem is a lot of the rumours are suggesting we are swapping him with Ba.

True enough but these daft americans might heavily subsidise his wages. Anything is possible if you are willing to fritter money like they have. I know Dalglish seems to wrongly get the blame for the money spent on the players but it was really nothing to do with him. Comolli and the americans were responsible for agreeing fees. Maybe with Comolli gone they'll tighten their belts which would scupper any move to Norwich.

West Ham may be the only club mad enough to pay the wages. Lets face it the porn boys pay well!

Don't really think Norwich need AC anyway, they seem quite well covered in the tall target man department

Why would we get him ? we'll most likely be only playing 1 main striker next season and already have 2 players better than him in that position.

He'd be great for WHU. Perfect for the Sam Allardyce style, but I think Amy is better than that IMO.

If Stoke improve and get back to their winning ways, since they have no Euro football at the moment, then I'd say Carroll would be good there.

Perfect for him, he'd be very dangerous in that set up.

If we can get Andy back we should get him. He is much more than the one-dimensional player he is portrayed as. And it doesn't mean a 'lump it forward' philosophy.

We're in the Europa league - we need all the bodies we can get, especially if they are quality bodies.

    According to SSN...

    Thoughts?

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7903117/

I know there's not much to the article, but SSN are normally fairly reliable?

EDIT: Further reading suggests loan bid. If we DO loan him, I'd rather have the potential buy out clause at the end tbf.

Breaking news on yellow ssn ticker, not sure what to make of it would be a good option from the bench but doubt he would be happy being behind ba and cisse

I'd have him back. Plus you know he'd want to score against Liverpool (providing we buy him for the season after). And we'd have the last laugh over the bastards if we ended up getting him back for £10m or so.

Who knows - maybe that was the plan all along.
