Super goal and good contribution for two others. Just have to hope Grayson plays him now

    Crap quality video:

Unstoppable finish on his wrong foot.

I think that he's a top prospect for us.
Dangerous, pacey, skilful and athletic with an end product, too.
Played a number of Europa League games for us at left-back, so he's also aware of the defensive responsibilities of his true position.

Shouldn't have any trouble adapting to the division either, as he had a successful loan spell at Millwall last season.

Do you reckon he has a long term future at Spurs, or could this deal possibly lead to a permanent transfer?

He signed a five year deal on December 23rd, so he won't be leaving permanently.

In the short term, he looks likely to be a like-for-like understudy for Bale and Lennon - but he is in our long-term planning.

Sounds like a decent replacement for Gradel.

Quality young player with pace (which is what we need). Stop bitching about it been a loan, fellow Leeds fans. A player of his quality and potential would cost us millions. Max Gradel, Eric Lichaj, George McCartney, Sanchez Watt were all loan signings and impressed me. Yid Vicious & KingHotspur, how is he defensively?

Since losing Gradel, we have had to choose between attack minded Sam or Nunez who don't ever defend or Danny Pugh who can help defend and allow White to go forward, if we had Gradel and White we'd be unstoppable. Gradel attacks and defends really well and White attacks really well and not terrible defending. If Andros is good attacking and willing to fall back and help out Aidy then he will be a fantastic addition to the team.

Great signing, exactly what we need, attacks with pace & defends when needed. It's what we've needed down the left since Gradel went.
Quality loan signings, the way to go, not freebie crap or loanees like the useless O'Dea.
Hope there's one or two quality defensive loanees coming our way too, maybe Danny Wilson from Liverpool.
Quality not quantity is surely the way forward.

He tore Leeds a new arse at the Den last season - Good player but plays in Snodgrass' position - is he about to depart?

No. We needed a winger anyway, we never replaced Gradel.

Have horrible feeling that Townsend may be another Bannan, in that he has great talent but Grayson keeps him on the bench and doesn't play him.

I still see white as a liability, thats the reason we have been playing pugh on the left, white cant defend and for me needs replacing. Maybe in a few years he will be ok but not now, I'd prefer to see us play pugh at left back and townsend on left wing. That is if we sign pugh ofcourse otherwise i still think we need a LB. White needs covering too much

Hi guys, we're finally bringing through some young talent at Spurs and Townsend is definitely one of the brightest prospects. Very pacey, has a good cross and loves attacking the full backs, his only downside is that he likes to do a bit too much at times and can get caught out. He just signed a 5 year deal with us so I reckon the club see what us fans do about him and realise he can have a great future with the right guidance. Hope he does the business for you guys.

We've learned to be at most cautiously optimistic about these loans.

Accepted, but still harbour fears of his non use.

How we have been playing recently we need a lot more than one loan signing
