Hopefully the loss will make AVB change a few things such as playing one natural winger and an inside forward instead of two inside forwards. The striker needs ammo to score and the creativity can't always be expected to come from the CAM. Both Eriksen and Holtby have been awesome recently but they alone can't be expected to create every opportunity, we need a winger to whip some crosses into the box, Andros done one against West Ham and Defoe wasn't far off reaching, get a few more of them in and one will surely be converted. Also think Sandro needs to come back in to the team now, we need a destroyer in the middle of the park to add that bite and relieve some pressure off the defence.
I still don't think that Sandro's quite there yet, but I'm hoping that he'll prove me wrong. The two Brazilians for the league with Capoue and Dembele for the cups and we'd have better balance in the centre, I think.
Dembele's been our best player too often to drop him, IMO. Maybe when Sandro is back to his best--I think he's still some distance away. I've gotten around to thinking I overreacted to the loss. We should have enough talent to meet our goals this year. But Man City should have had the same the year we got into the CL--except they had the problem we have, which is too many new faces. So maybe all we need is some patience, even if AVB's style isn't the best thing since sliced bread. Tell me where I can find some, if you know. Patience, I mean, not bread.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Utd and City have all lost games they shouldn't (although debatable with Chelsea). It is how we react that matters, not the fact that it happened.
