To the tune of 'Stand Up' (the Go West song) **** off, if your name is Sean **** off, if your name is Sean
It seems that Villas-Boas has reacted by subtly WUMing Modric. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20556566 "I think he should focus more on his club than ours," said Villas-Boas. "Obviously Modric is aware of Gareth's performances because of his love for Tottenham, but it is completely impossible [for Bale to leave]." "Regarding Luka, he has high expectations and I think Real Madrid have high expectations for him too. I think with the player that he is, he will turn it around and will manage to get into the team a little bit more."
hahaha that's amazing. fairplay to AVB. I've lost any respect I had left for Modric. He's been an absolute dick ever since he threw his toys out of the pram over the Chelsea move. Since then it's just got worse and worse.
how did he not burst out laughing when he said that? I just had to lol by the time I got to the 'get into the team a little bit more' bit.
To a bastardized version of "Shawn The Sheep." Actually, the song would be better written like this (added words in italics):- It's Sean the sheep! It's Sean the sheep! Tottenham Hotspur bought him on the cheap. It's not beyond the pale For him to shag with Gareth Bale For he's a sheep, he's Sean the sheep!
That's as may be, lads, but you've got to admit that I was very subtle in the manner in which I understated the degree to which I wum
If Modric is so desperate to play alongside Bale, there's always one thing he could do - not sign for Real Madrid in the first place!
This story's reared its ugly head again, this time its the Telegraph twisting his words to make it sound as if he's desperate to leave http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...eady-to-quit-Tottenham-Hotspur-for-Spain.html The article bears the title : Gareth Bale ready to quit Tottenham Hotspur for Spain And yet quotes Bale thus: Bale, though, has opened the door to a possible move. “It would be nice to experience other leagues and other cultures,” he said. “I’m not afraid to go abroad. If the time comes and a team that’s right comes in for me, then I’ll look at it seriously. I’ll see what happens.” Is this moronic journo hack incapable of distinguishing the obvious difference between being "ready to quit" and considering an offer "if the time comes" Absolutely shameless...
That quote is from last season before he signed his new contract if I am not mistaken. To be fair the headline is not written by the writer of the article. But why would I want to be fair to a rehashed undermining piece designed to sell a newspaper.
Exactly. It's pretty much a verbatim quote from what he said more than a year ago. Very lazy journalism. I would have expected better from The Telegraph.
