Is there actually any proof we have signed him? All we have is a quote from a newspaper that i wouldn't wipe my ass with....
No doubt some City fans will end up calling him Hungarian Gulash after last year's, IMO, offensive naming of Tijani Belaid as Taliban.
Usually when a friendly is tied into a player transfer its the smaller club supplying the bigger club with a player and getting a friendly as part of the compensation package so I wouldnt be suprised if we have a youngster that Liverpool want
Also we could have interest in a south african goalkeeper.... but time will tell if this is to be the number 1 or 2 keeper?
I normally agree with you but the way AP made it sound was that it was a signing that we was after not them....... However i highly doubt it is this keeper their mentioning!
I suppose we could have been stuck on the price with Liverpool for Ayala and agree to pay the asking price if we can have a friendly
not sure about that comment by AP.. its rare to sign a player on loan in exchange for a friendly game. usually the friendly is added onto a permanent signing as part of the deal. i guess we'll find out soon... this article says thats exactly what we've done.. http://www.eatsleepsport.com/liverpool/friendly-linked-to-loan-deal-1233227.html still, good news that we're still able to deal with liverpool now that woy's pissed off. could never understand why he came out with all that bullshit before.
Iv heard a number of things that we have signed him and Tom Cairney has gone the other way, and which is why we are playing Liverpool in pre-season
I put a thread about him on the Scousers' Not606 this morning.......have a look: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/60932-Peter-Gulacsi?p=714027#post714027 He seems to be a valued young keeper. [Edit - 700 posts! ]
Did you post that on the Fail online, nearly choked on my cup of tea when I saw that, hope it's true though!
it says a Liverpool STAR we are signing I don't think Ayala or Gulacsi are Liverpool STARS, althought they may be very good players for Hull A Liverpool STAR could be someone else
Jay Spearing would be a good addition if they're willing to let him go out on loan for a season, very tidy midfielder.
