The point is; Sess was sent off about 5 mins (?) into the second half. Anyone would expect the home team 0-1 down at half time to come out attacking. When he was off then obviously the balance changed, We were always on the back foot.

So, what I'm saying is, yes. You where by far the stronger (not better in my eyes!) team in the second half, but that was down to circumstance.

Don't dwell on it. It doesn't make you good or special. You are certainly not as good as you think,

to be honest i just can't hate shola, he's like a force of nature, one of those things science just can't explain - he is rubbish, most newcastle fans will be the first to admit it, an absolute donkey and yet he cannot fail to score against us, every single derby!

was over 60 mins on clock when he went off, the 15 minutes previous we were very much on top and i even get the feeling that had Sess stayed on we may have grabbed the win. Once he was off it was backs to the wall stuff, nearly all players in the box at every NUFC attack, nearly impossible to break down. With Sess on the box wouldn't have been so congested as less SAFC players would have been in the box hoping to hit us on the counter.

Turning points. Sess sending off, Krul double save. (Which was amazing).
Sunderland were deservedly 1-0 at half time, they controlled everything and their play was all round better.
    We were extremely poor.
Second half, we got a kick up the arse.
We started playing the ball better instead of hoofball tactics.
Nearly snatched all three points, but because of your first half display i think a draw was the right decision.

Ben Arfa changed the game in my opinion, his flair and creativity is something we lacked.

Both HBA and Shola. Shola held the ball up well and HBA was having a right go at Richardson.

Think the mackems got a first hand view of why we all rate HBA do highly. A cut above anyone when he came on. Tortured Richardson.

he really did torment him, that moment when he dragged it back and then knocked it between two of ours (ricco and can't remember) and got the shot away was magic, if he could do that week-in-week-out he would be in the world class bracket i guess.

Its a fair point about the 1st half. The mackams played better simple as that.

The second half we played better... simple as that.

The sending off made it easier for us to maintain the ball. If not for the sending off I believe we might have struggled. We had 19 corners.

P.S If williamson could defend as well for us as he did for sunderland at the end of the game (where all he needed to do was poke the ball with his left boot) then we might have won the game.

I know theres a lot of hate between us but tbh its actually good that we both seem to be heading in the right direction.

A lot of acting like babies, by both sets of supporters. Sir Bobby's memory is disgraced by the petty ****e on here. It isn't even banter but booze-filled "hate".

Surely a draw is the one time when Newcastle and Sunderland fans should be able to act like fecking grown-ups.

Tiote is not "soft", pathetic narks. However, he is no angel either, and no Newcastle fan really needs to defend him (though I'll add my two cents for a laugh). In the same vein nobody needs defend Cattermole really.

Reading the game from my perspective, Sunderland were rough and tumble, and good on them. They were more up for it in the first half. The Cattermole challenge was too far away from me for me to judge, but he had a solid game otherwise, definitely not man of the match (O'Shea defo). How could you lot see though? Miles away as you are.
Tiote was at his disruptive best, certainly more assertive than outwardly aggressive, but he's always like that. Regardless of the piss poor analysis on here, he is a wonderful FOOTBALLER. With ball at feet he is accurate and composed, hence why we always go 4-4-2. He doesn't go down too often, but today I sensed he was desperate to get back in it, and tired of niggling tackles, and that allowed us to completely dominate the last half hour. The first fifteen minutes of the second half were perhaps edged by us.

Also, on the ****e spoken of Cattermole, he's a bit different. Definitely more aggressive, definitely a poorer all-round player, he is nevertheless just as effective in the middle, and his engine is ENORMOUS. Stupid at the end though. Idiots defending that as passion need to get some GSCEs and take anger management immediately.

All in all, we share the spoils, grow up the lot of you and get some better banter. Thank you.

Im also happy with a point, never mind, we still have the next round of the FA cup, and that puts another few quid in the kitty for the summer transfers.
