I don’t know about any of that that but wasn’t commenting on it anyway
Are Africans really poorer now than 25 years ago?

I read it some time ago(can't remember where) and it stuck in my head as simply staggering but there are other examples of poverty growing at a rate far higher than the billions being poured into the Country.

I'm not saying it's right,I'm not a heartless bastard who doesn't care but in all the years I have chipped in for African famine relief,I've seen nothing that convinces me that it's serving any purpose and I've now concentrated my efforts to Hospice charities, mainly due to the fact that I've seen my loved ones suffering from terminal illnesses and hospices exist primarily through funding...Shame on every British Government!!

I never said his response wasn’t genuine, I merely pointed out he wasn’t challenging something that anyone had ever actually said.
He notably never acknowledged that though which if it was me or you I suspect we would have done, which is why no one puts our faces on bus stops saying we are ****s. (I assume it’s not even real btw. I just found it amusing although I accept my amusement was heavily shaped by me thinking he is a ****)
Yes I mentioned his charity stuff in my initial post, because I was being fair to him.
A **** that has done far, far more good than harm, and whose record would stand up well against other peoples, including those that would presumably fill the gap if he wrapped his hand in.

As I said, for a variety of reasons I'm not particularly a fan of his, but I can't see why someone deserves derision for being successful, when other less financially successful people have caused a lot more harm.

As you said to me…this is debatable

In a world where you might have a house worth £150 grand or more maybe , and go on boozy holidays and children are starving how much will you give ?
The average person in the UK is significantly wealthier than 90% of the global population.
