True story. I once rang up Swansea City two days before a Friday night game at Vetch Field. I asked if the kick off time could be moved from 7.30 to 7.45 as I’d be struggling to get there on time. They were very apologetic but refused.
The cheating ****bags had no problem moving the kick off back by well over half an hour, when we played them there, in May1998. Oddly it was the last match of the season and they were pushing for the play offs, so when all other matches were finished knew exactly what they had to do. :emoticon-0173-middl

I love baseball, it's my favourite major league sport in the US. Been to Wrigley Field many times (the largest outdoor beer garden in the world is one name for it) and the games are, as you say, an event, before, during and after. Great stuff.
I would love to go to Wrigley. My first stadium was Kingdome, which was the Seattle Mariners old stadium, been to Skydome (Roger’s) few times which is fabulous and I’ve been to the old Yankee stadium a few times.

Went to watch the Red Sox play at Fenway Park.
Enjoyed the experience and the old stadium but found the game tedious tbh.
Dragged it out for about 4 hours and was still only one all when we gave it up.
Shame as I hoped I’d like it, but wasn’t for me.
(I’d been once before in Canada and had watched a bit on tv, so understood the basics at least, but still couldn’t get interested)

Different strokes and all that

*Highlight was having to prove my age to get a beer though…aged 56! <cheers>
It’s like cricket really to an extent, and there are so many different rules, I hear you though.

Not pushing for the Play Off's T, they were fighting for their very Football League existence, they had to get a result to stay in the FL. Probably one of the most 'corrupt' games City have ever took part in. We went two up I think? and they were given two of the most dubious penalties you'll ever see in your life. Swansea won and hung onto their FL status.

Wrong match, which shows a history of cheating. It was pishing down and they pressured the ref to delay the kick off, there was no difference in the pitch from 3 o'clock to when it eventually kicked off, and by then they knew exactly what they had to do to make the play offs. Another one at the Vetch where we faced all sorts of crap thrown over the fences.

Yesterday I lost all my previous follows and whom I was following andposts on X. I got an email say my email login had changed, which was an email address I had never heard of. I then tried to login to my X account, using my original login details, all my preveious posts, follows etc had gone.

I assume it must have been some form of hacking, so ended up deleting that account, and starting afresh.
