Not watched sports personality but just looked through the list of sports people who passed away
Some names I’ve not seen mentioned

Tho the oldest jogger in the world who got killed by a car did make me laugh and I don’t know why
114!!
I did watch it and I cried at the first section with the award going to the Dad’s of two of the girls killed in the Southport attack who ran the London Marathon in their honour.
Just choking.

Rest was ok, apart from Mrs Tash giving me that rolling eyes look when I shouted ‘that’s just ****ing ridiculous’ when Michelle Agyemang won the Young Personality over Luke Littler. I mean she’s a great player and I was shouting for her to get brought on earlier, but she can’t get in the starting lineup (or couldn’t in the last tournament) and Littler is still young and yet at the top of his sport.

He did win it last year to be fair.

He did, but so did Weigman in her category (which was fine…not sure Luke Donald was really a ‘coach’)
I just think it’s like penalising him for being so good so young. If she was starting and had the impact over regular games that she had in cameos then fair enough, but I just thought it was odd.

Yeah I guess the young category is a bit weird. It does feel strange to win it more than once but as you say he’s world number 1 and still young so would deserve it.

Should maybe be ‘up and coming’ or something
And athletes like gymnasts might be at their peak really young so might qualify their whole career (although I haven’t checked the criteria tbf)
Come on BBC…sort it out!

Sorry, but I think the European Ryder Cup team winning the team award was ridiculous as well.
1 tournament over 3 days. And a European team. Not a patch on HKR winning the treble (and no, I'm not a HKR fan as such) or the ladies winning the Euros or the rugby world cup. I'd have liked to have seen HKR win it; some achievement winning it for the 1st time.

I completely agree. They also beat one team, whereas every other team you mentioned beat multiple.

Hadn't realised Bath had won the Treble in Rugby Union as well.

I don’t disagree at all
