I think you need to do both. There’s no doubt that being environmentally responsible costs more, so you need to reverse that. Subsidies and incentives alone cost government, so there needs to be a ‘stick’ element. The problem at the moment is that we have very little incentive and we are in a cost of living crisis.
Without wanting to get into politics, if we are not happy with the way the country is heading with trying to resolve climate change, we need to vote for change!
But the answer isn’t to deny there is a climate issue, that’s just what an ostrich would do.
