There might be some significance in the fact the Brucey was their manager before, or more likely the fact that they sacked Rowett, who was doing a great job, and brought in Zola who turn out to be pants.
So they were singing it purely in this one game vs Brum? I got the feeling the way the announcer turned the music off on the chorus that this was regularly sung there.
I have never heard them sing it before. But got the feeling it was a contrived piece to wind up their Blue friends.
It was played at an away game v reading and the villa fans started singing along to it then. Took off from there.
