The solution to the pronoun debate came to me during the night, it's simple. Everyone should speak standard Yorkshire!. So for example,

...

Normally you'd have lad or lass on the end so just drop that bit, job done!

It could be ‘luv’ at the end as it isn’t gender specific over there.
