This reminds me of another good 'tale from a newsroom'... The day after this momentous night I picked up a very prominent national newspaper in which a famous sports columnist had written a full page piece about it being our finest hour since 66' and it was truly one of those occasions that he will be proud to tell people that 'he was there'. The problem was I'd sat next to him in the newsroom the night before as we watched it together on telly.
