Apparently this was a few years ago, possibly before Gregg Wallace was even invented.

The bakery on the Bomag industrial estate at Witney used to have a huge sign written board facing the A40, that said "Out muffins are moist and sticky, just like Fanny's"

The uk news is really focused on those out of work - many whom are ill or unable to work, of percentage levels of the population that aren't that different from similar countries. But to me, the big issue is those that are working but in receipt of UC and housing benefits, a far higher bill than for those out of work - it's an absolute piss take that companies are having their wage bill reduced and funded by the tax payers and that there's a system in place that means someone can be better off working fewer hours.

However, many of them are NOT ill or unable to work.

Those are the ones who should be encouraged into work.

36.7% of People in the UK are in receipt of benefits.*

In Norway 10.6% of the population are on disability benefits** which is the highest proportion of disability beneficiaries in the OECD***

So if the UK could move from 37.6% on benefits to 10.6% on disability benefits (still a very high number) by forcing able people into work and by making employers pay a fair wage then there'd be a huge saving and no harm to the less able.

EXPENSIVE hair gels are a con. Marmalade is a much cheaper alternative, but beware of bees in the summer.

You do realise that a lot of those 37.6% on benefits are actually working ?
