Where did he say it was a hoax? You may be right but to be fair I posted a link to him saying the exact opposite…so at the moment I’m inclined to believe me
I don't think one or two of them can actually help it. Any related comment/post reopens the door and they have no self control. Same on other non related issues to this.
Still shouldn’t be passing on false information. Not surprised the BBC repeated the falsehood about the acid attack. The BBC had an article retracting what was said and repeated elsewhere about youths trying to drag Asians out of a car in Hull. The police had informed them the people in the car were Eastern Europeans. That amused me as a few years ago, back in the days the HDM allowed comments, there were often ones about the police often saying after reports of sexual assaults that the men were of Eastern European appearance. Then when they eventually tracked them down they were from Syria, Iran or Iraq. Which will have explained which they didn’t get much help from the public, as they were trying to recall completely different looking people.
If he pays up it should be equally divided between licence payers... As one of the remaining 4 idiots,I stand to lift £50k...
Bit rich considering they knew he had paying a young person for sexually explicit images, and had been sending inappropriate messages to junior staff, and yet decided not to sack him. Then even when they knew he’d been arrested did nothing. He deserves everything he gets, if not more, but if they want their/our money back then I suggest that the Director General and several other senior managers should chip in too!
It's taking the piss that the BBC is paying a journalist half a million to read the news. It's not like there's a shortage of ppl who would or could do it.
Whether you think he was worth the money or not, he clearly didn't work half an hour a day. He did the News at Six, the News at Ten, election specials, the Coronation and presented lots of other programmes the BBC has to make to fill its rolling news channel.
I never said he should,I said 'if'. Personally, yes,I think if he's asked for it and he had any moral fibre he'd pay it back. But he doesn't have any moral fibre so I'd lay money he doesn't... At the end of the day he should've been sacked when he was arrested and the BBC became aware of the severity of the charges and nobody would be having these conversations about should he/will he...The BBC have screwed up big time,it's on them, and as I say,it's doubtful whether he'll even respond to their politely worded letter.
No problems and no explanation required. I think a fair few of us(not everyone, but myself included,I'm no angel) are on edge at the moment with current affairs and it's all spewing out on the threads,it's not good for anyone's health. Sometimes it's good to take a step back for a week or two when we're all at each other and that's what I intend to do.
This is why we don’t have politics etc on here It really is for the best my daughter as usual chose to ignore my texts on Saturday when I was worried sick where she was I’m laid up and can’t drive otherwise I would have been driving round looking for her!! and had to ask my ex if she knew she was ok? Which was painful all round But she was and is thankfully
Because that is the way of the local media in Hull. And the police can’t make money by having specialist officers on top of all the others at Rovers or FC games. Wonder if they will do what they did when some stretch limos arrived from Bristol for an end of season game? They smashed a pub up outside of Hull. Did the police arrest them or send them back? No. They gave them an escort to the ground and escorted them away afterwards.,Only in Hull…Wonder what they and the stewards will find tomorrow to justify their unnecessary presence at the MKM?
