I suspect he's got Alzheimer's Chazz. My old man had it and he was as stubborn as a muel,I suppose in his mind he was all there but he wasn't. I had to take his car keys off him when it started to show on a more regular basis, went off his nut and said I was taking a huge part of his life away and he'd be better off dead!! I can only imagine someone telling Biden he's not fit to run his Country but I feel his Family need to do it diplomatically and tactfully? He's clearly struggling and I'm no fan of the man but I do feel sorry for him in many ways.
I know, but many don't pay tax, they live off the state. If people had to pay an amount, then many would think twice about booking an appointment or turning up with a minor problem.
And that may end up with people not attending, and further down the line serious consequences happening. Free at the point of delivery should mean just that. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
The trouble is that because of how funding works it more or less, at this late stage, has to be Kamil Harris, and she is worse than Biden. At least he has a reason why he is like he is, she is just idiotic.
I was in my doctor’s surgery yesterday. There was a notice up saying 274 had not turned up in .June (they are part of a group with surgeries in two separate buildings). My dentist, who was the last one in town to offer NHS appointments has finally given up. He has, however, agreed on Tuesdays and Thursdays to see 7 patients referred by 111 for emergency treatment. A neighbour was referred on Thursday. That morning 2 out of 3 had not turned up. On Tuesday 5 out of 7 did not turn up. About time we started charging a fee, refundable after showing. They charge for doctors’ appointments in France, if you are on the basic health service plan you get 70% back if you have the additional private top up insurance you get the lot back. Would stop a lot of valuable time being wasted.
It’s sounds a good idea, but for a huge amount of people £10 might not be affordable, that idea affects the poorest, and the stats say they are the sickest people in society.
I agree, £10 is more than a nominal amount for some. But there’s no doubt that a lot of people are just irresponsible and couldn’t give a **** about missed appointments. How about 3 missed appointments and you’re out, or something along those lines? Or go back to the old first come first served system, was that any worse than the mess we’ve got now? My own recent tale is of trying to get a physio appointment. 5 days of phone calls and online forms, finally offered a telephone consultation 7 weeks ahead. I just gave up.
A huge amount haven’t got £10? But will have phones, broadband etc and eat takeaways. £10 and reimbursed after you attend. Works in a number of EU countries so why not here?
Poor the sickest in society? I'd have to disagree there mate, once had a fling with a middle aged woman and she was ****ing sick.
Someone very correctly highlighted on Five Live when discussing this the other day, that Trump does not seem exactly 'with it' either...
It always gets me. Do Americans look at the election and think ‘ out of all the people who live here is that the best we can do ?’
