He is effectively saying he can’t compete in these markets? Tesla are still a newish company with huge expansion to come. They have just damaged that expansion potential. Doesn’t matter what the current market share is in the longer scheme of things. The aim is to take market share. He still will but not in so
many countries. Short term decision long term damage.

The Dogger Bank wind farm is being connected to the grid at Cottingham. On the same site is battery storage, baterries supplied by Tesla with an ongoing maintenance programme. Google the story for the details.
Perhaps he doesn't need the right hand drive market?
Tesla gave every other motor manufacturer the kick up the behind they needed. But as Ford have done, how many will move to the ability to use the Tesla Superchargers? Right hand drive manufacturers?
I have argued the toss with many people, but I am smart enough to know not to question billionaires, or doubt their business acumen.
Locally, consider the Healey family opening a paint and wallpaper warehouse to the public. Located on Clough Road. Out of town shopping screamed the 60's equivalent of the Internet, madness, what, why, pah.
However, I will concede Elon Musk is somewhat eccentric.

Just Stop Oil protesters caused a stoppage to rugby's Gallagher Premiership final by running on to the pitch and throwing orange paint powder.

The match between Sale and Saracens at Twickenham was briefly delayed when two men ran from the stands.

Stewards escorted the protesters away to cheers from the crowd before the match resumed.

Just Stop Oil said the protesters at Twickenham were a doctor and a construction worker.

I always look from an investors point of view
The share price as stupidly high and at some stage was going to come down. It has. It is still overpriced although more realistic in the valuation. He isn’t the new boy or disruptor any more. He is now a big fish. His cats have a bad rep and come near/ at the bottom of the customer satisfaction surveys around the world. His residential batteries are unreliable. His growth of car sales is slowing down although still impressive. He has to adapt to the competition increasing and improving. I feel he is struggling to do that. I also believe he will step down from Tesla with 3 years. A lot of what’s been achieved, and I commend him without reservation, has been based on Elon being Elon and good ideas. People are getting bored of him. The tech is being matched and in some cases bettered by others. It was always going to happen. The interesting aspect is the reaction. So far, from a shareholders point of view, he isn’t doing well enough. Twitter doesn’t help Tesla although may help him personally. I am a fan of Elon. I think what he has done is a generational achievement. He now has his toughest test. Shareholders are not happy.

I don't know where you get your info from - certain there are conflicting reports out there, but it's widely published that Tesla have one of the highest customer satisfaction rating in the industry and the brand loyalty level is up there with Apple.

The tech isn't being matched by any European manufacturer yet - Chinese brands are way ahead of them, due to the later start of electric development in the car industry here, and it remains to be seen if European buyers will buy Chinese new brands at the same levels.

The Y model has just recently become the highest selling car model in the world. Not sure how shareholders, of which I am a miniscule one since 2018, can be unhappy with that.

I understand many don't like his personality and can be bored of him.

Like you I have varies sources of information. The tech was surpassed 3 years ago by a Swiss firm who have since sold the tech to worldwide car builders. They have yet to implement the full range of tech and it is dubious if they will. Full autonomy was part of the package. Agree with the Chinese comments. The brand loyalty Tesla has, like wasn’t questioned. Customer satisfaction with the product is being questioned. And countless surveys, especially about the cars, are not good. There is a difference between brand loyalty and satisfaction. I like Tesla and what they did. I sold my shares January 2022. The company has head winds and currently the winds are increasing. It’s been a hell of a ride for shareholders but the party is over. Doesn’t mean there won’t be another one however they need to step up and perform like the company they claim to be. Speaking of Apple, they also have issues and are not the company they once were. All the info is out there.

Fair enough, I'm not aware of Swiss technology.
For and against, buyers and sellers, opposing views - all needed to make a market, it's an interesting discussion to test and challenge own opinions.

To be fair I spend more time looking ahead rather than the here and now. My views do tend to be different to most. Good to chat with you.

In some countries there are signs tell in you not to stand on the toilet.
Squat toilets are very common in parts of the World and you take a similar stance to pic 2 to do a number 2.
Yes, I have missed a squat toilet!

Where I work, residual evidence would suggest that some defacators stand on the seat, then squat. Picture the wall behind the cistern adorned with excrement!
