Akanji is ****ing ****. That Man City squad needs major surgery in the summer. Aging and injury-prone midfield and only one really good centre-half in Dias.
Guardiola’s style of football just falls apart without a world-class defensive midfielder/deep-lying playmaker. Without a Busquets, Kimmich or Rodri, they are bang-average.
Haaland aside....when did man citeh last make a good signing? Gvardiol...but even then if you're spending 80m+ on someone they damned well better be decent.....I just cannot believe how epically they've fallen off a cliff, like from utterly indestructible last 4 years to there to be got at by anyone....players at the top of the game last year now looking old and way past it.....could be one hell of a rebuild and if pep goes, could well be the end of their dominance of the premier league. and I'm ****ing here for it, great to see!
Just seen somewhere else Notts forrest who beat Brighton 7 - 0 only had 37% possession, which goes to show it's not how much you have but what you do with the bit you do have that matters most.
“it's not how much you have but what you do with the bit you do have that matters most.” That applies in all sorts of ways.
I have a question. I honestly haven't a clue. When teams line up in the tunnel and ion the pitch, Captain comes first of course,. but WHY does the keeper always stand second...?
It's when Coyle walks out into the stadium and gets overwhelmed with how manys in front of him, Pandur catches him when he faints.
That's him at Boro and Myhill at West Brom while we've got some random Turk. Shouldn't annoy me as much as it does.
I've watched the last 20 minutes; Giles has had 3 attacking touches and replicated exactly what he did for us. 2 unambitious balls back to a player in centre midfield and 1 low and poor cross behind the in running forwards. He has shepherded the ball back to his keeper though by shoulder barging a Sunderland forward out of the way. Don't recall him doing that for us as any point.
