Sweden has just announced it’s binning VAR, bowing to fan pressure, I suspect they won’t be the last. It seems UEFA are respecting their decision and will not force them to use it, even in European games.
var is just a bit daft becasue its used in completely the wrong way using it for miniscule offsides is not even effective, youd need like 2000fps cameras and long analysis to see if someone truly is offside by half a cm it should be used for stuff like serious foul play if the ref misses it, balls over the line if the glt fails etc or a player is a yard offside and linesman misses things that are obvious and not open to interpretation. hawk eye in tennis is too difficult to implement in football currently, so **** it for that ****
