mate… there’s been several of these posts…thinly veiled but you don’t seem to like people from other countries… does that apply to Americans or Italians too? Or just selective on your hatred?

let’s hear your full views…have courage of your convictions …speak up…

    Eh? Nope, lost me.
It's as simple as I find it odd that a country in absolute crisis with half its population displaced still plays international football. Don't you?
I have no problem being open with what I think & post. I've shown that several times.
But as for hatred, I don't see where you get that idea. I do however hate what's happening to our country with illegal immigrants, as a country we are absolute mugs with no pride or backbone anymore at governmental levels. It troubles me as to what we are leaving to our next generations. But that's not about hatred of anyone or of a country. And mods don't like us going back down that track.

Plenty on here hate Americans. Though thinking it funny that war torn countries can still play international football is not an expression of hatred. Of course these days the mildest criticism of something is met with shrieks about hate, haters, phobias…

That's ONE thing (illegal immigration in this country). What else do I supposedly hate? Are you drinking by any chance. Don't you find it odd (that Palestine are playing)?
Fwiw, I of course don't support terrorism from Hama's but I have sympathy (if that's an appropriate word) for Palestinians, their rights and cause. Clumsy wording, but just pointing out that my comments about playing football are in no way against Palestine. I just find it odd.

‘Plenty on here hate Americans'? Can you name five of them?

Genuine question as maybe I’ve missed a lot of stuff.

    Ok, your view.
If 25 million Brits were displaced (same proportion) and we were effectively at war I wouldn't expect our football to carry on as normal. I'd expect all resources, time and money to be focussed on the humanitarian disaster.
But no I won't keep going. I have nothing more to go on about.
No idea what your agenda is but you're way way off. You're trying too hard to read things into my comments that simply aren't there. I'd have no problem explaining hatreds if I had them. Bizarre.

Plenty are disparaging about America and Americans. Nowadays that is hate and hatred. At least it is when anything less than fulsome is said about anything or anybody they approve of.

    No

    Pretty sure it’s still disparagement.

    Yeah just checked. No change.

Really. Say something lightly critical nowadays and you are told you are a hater.

History tells us that during WWII,Football was abandoned in this Country,I see your point as pretty valid but it's best not aired on these threads...

Football was still played on a restricted level. But we weren’t taking part in international competitions.

Countries in conflict usually continue to compete in international competitions, just with home games played in another country, it's good for the nations morale.
