    I think I said it at the time too, but the sheer joy and, frankly, disbelief on Jaden’s face as he spirals away from his back heel makes it so much better to watch

    So many questions, not for you or your friend but in general on this. The tunnel under the Thames which the train goes through is flooded, why are/were the news channels linking it to the bad weather? why can't the train unload/load the passengers at the other side of the tunnel.

    I suppose they dont have many trains on one side of the floods - most likely the north side - I suppose many people would be happy to get that far from the southern end!
    the flooding seems to be a different issue to the passport control problems but I suppose they reduce alternatives
    if you ever have travel problems the last people who knows what is going on is the travellers! they only get information regarding a small part of the problem.

    Yes, brilliant when it's working, awful when not. I took french family to St Pancras this morning early, before all the trains had been cancelled, so I just dropped them off. They're stranded in London now! Luckily they have pals in London where they can stay awhile.
