Not a bad return this for an under 16s striker: https://www.skysports.com/football/...verpool?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter It happening against the bin dippers is a bonus, though marred somewhat by him playing for a potentially even less likeable club...
I think it actually happened once for real. Edit. It was the scoreline that the late, great Eric Morecambe always used to joke about but had never come true - until now. East Fife 4 Forfar 5 was the much-loved comedian's idea of the ultimate tongue-twister for anyone trying to read out the football results. On Sunday, that result finally happened for the first time in the fixture's history - sort of. The Scottish League Cup Group B tie between the sides went to penalties after a 1-1 draw. And the score in the shootout? East Fife 4 Forfar 5.
lukaku scored four first half goals for belgium in their 5-0 win over azerbaijan, who had a player sent off at 1-0. lukaku was subbed at 46 minutes. belgium head group f with austria a point behind.
luxembourg won 1-0 away against liechtenstein in the battle of the giants, despite a 5th minute red card. it was liechtenstein's 23rd consecutive defeat. most of the are not bad sounding scorelines. their last non-defeat was a 1-1 draw with armenia in september 2021. their last win was in october 2020 against luxembourg, and that was their second on the trot, after a win against san marino. they once drew with portugal. they also once drew with greece, which can happen to any team whose alleged star player abandons his allocated position on the right wing and is never there to receive passes. luxembourg have now won four of their last seven games, including three in a row. alas, portugal have put 15 past them in two games this year. luxembourg are currently ranked 94th and liechtenstein 192nd of 211. luxembourg are third of six teams in group j and have won half their matches.

An interesting article in the Times, Alex Bruce saying his dad is keen on the Ireland job. One other snippet was apparently John Walters stole money when he was a young player from another teammate when he was at Blackburn, It just came to light it was Alex Bruce who he stole from. He paid it back, was going through a tough time privately, so all finished amicable and credit to Alex he never let it be known publicly. This info came from Walters himself, apparently.
Be interesting if he counts Greaves as one. He’s probably 50/50 in terms of minutes in centre back and left back.
Has Deano been talking to himself on twitter again? (I’ve not done the maths I must say, but sounds about right?)
