My Dad is a Spurs fan, he's from North London. But, even he says its not about the manager its about the entire set up, top to bottom. Its rotten. What kind of club sacks their manager a few days from the Champions league final when they haven't won anything for over 20 years.....pathetic. New owners & re-build, does that sound familiar to somewhere more local !!!
Could be messy - doesn't Roman hold a UK passport these days? It could be cancelled, but very unusual step Edit - I was wrong, he withdrew his uk application in 2018, but he is a EU citizen via Portugal citizenship
I like the range exhibited there. You of course have the classic British two finger V, a smattering of American style middles, a couple of good old ****er shakes, and of course that old favourite the knobhead gesture.
I despair at my fellow human beings. Even more so those that have their children with them. What is wrong with people these days?
Nothing whatsoever that hadn't been wrong with people for aeons. Perhaps you should give your fingers a rest from clutching your pearls.
What people were like aeons ago is an interesting topic for debate. What matters to people now is what people are like now, in their lifetime. I'm 70 now and imo general behaviour is worse now than it was 50-60 years ago, which is as far back as I can realistically remember. Nothing to do with clutching pearls or knicker-wetting, just observation.
Good times 50-60 years ago, that's if you ignore 'no blacks, Irish or dogs' signs, Bristol bus boycott, Rachman, slums,Cathy Come Home, big city protection rackets, gay discrimination, back street abortions, Poulson, smog, razor gangs, well behaved mods v rockers, et al.
You know what, we've still got all that some dressed up with different names, some just the same. Racial discrimination, exploitative landlords, homeless young people, sexual discrimination, knife gangs, international people smuggling, drug crimes, child abuse and grooming, financial crime, mental health issues, internet crime. You really think we're any better?
That's where we have to agree to disagree. I think we're worse because we haven't learnt enough (good) over the intervening years.
Thanks Plum. Society in general is far worse now. Very little respect for anything nowadays from so many (not all, but so many. Yes, there's always been bad behaviour, gangs, violence, etc, but things have fundamentally changed for the worse in the last couple of decades even. Just one small example, you would never have seen grown 'men' , and women!, dishing out such abuse with their kids next to them. The irony is that those adults stood there giving it the '****er' signs are the true ****ers.
