and another due.

Pegleg - I'm not sure if we need more strikers - or to be 'obsessed' about a 'target' man. Whilst I would like to keep Eaves - and the option that he ( his type ), would provide - I rather suspect that, with an Eaves in the side, we will go 'one-dimensional' (hoofball). There is a time and place for hoofball - but not for 89+ minutes every game.

The make up of the squad appears to have more youth, pace, and ( on paper ), more quality than of recent years. There is no reason why, players like Hanlon, Charles-Cook, Willock, Thomas, Ndjoli, Oldaker can't be used as a dynamic attack-minded squad -- using their pace to move forward with speed and create chances for each other.

The last time this happened was at the beginning of the season a few years ago - when we beat Sheffield United 4-0. We attacked with pace and numbers - it was a joy to watch - and if I remember correctly, it was one of our wingers ( Jarvis ), who scored two lovely goals by cutting in from the wings. ............happy days.

One of our best performances ever, a game in which Bradley Dack started to make his name - I can't remember who our normal striker was back then, I think he was out injured....wait.....it will come to me.....nope still don't remember his name ;)

My brain never has the capacity to remember so many new signings, let alone pronounce their names. I think I might just turn up on the day and see what names stand out to me....

brb: I like our new number one, who is he?

pegleg: he's the goalkeeper mate

<laugh>

What has this got to do with Gillingham/football, absolutely nothing, but it's a laugh.
