outspend us 3/1 every summer on average using someone else money ( you dont make your own money, you will make a loss this season and next and so on. ) Its not as if the Sky and Uefa money is shared fairly around in the PL either. United get at least 200% of it and then for good measure we rob all the owners of the other clubs grannies.
Be fair, since the moment they employed Below Average Moyes all they are dreaming about is the day he goes so they can get a real manager in.
I noticed that since Below Average Moyes was appointed there has been a marked shift in Manu fans approach to what is important. It used to be winning trophies and already you're sounding like Arsenal fans and their 'well run business'. We'll continue to want trophies rather than balance sheets
Nah, just some clever investments we made in the 90's are really paying off. Increasing stadium size in order to facilitate more fans = more revenue which has helped along with other factors keep us the best side in the land for some time now.
Thanks for finally admitting Below Average Moyes was 3rd choice after 2 real managers turned you down.
they may well of for reasons I explained on page 2 or 3 of this thread. Ego and fear of failure to sum it up. understandable really.
We know that EC but the Mancs won't have it even though they know else they will lose face. Expect Oberon to appear with his minions for back up.
Horse****. We've spent as much on players and wages as United have over the last 20 years. Also, our owner kinda owns the club, so it's kinda our money not the taxpayers like United hence the half a mill debt. You've even had to run to New York to try and clear some of it. You acquired wealth due to blatant disregard for the integrity of the sport and personal greed. When the FA bent over for you (as per) and allowed Sky and UEFA to pump their money in, thus creating a huge imbalance of wealth between the top and bottom. That, and the abolition of certain rules that favoured your immediate rivals I.e backpass rule. What Sky and UEFA didn't anticipate when they decided to pump loads of money into a select few clubs (G14), was that other clubs outside that cartel would attract investment due to ambitious businessmen coming in. After all, businessmen like football and treat it as a hobby. They'd see it is a challenge to break the cartel and win things hence takeovers at Chelsea, City, Monaco, PSG etc. That's pretty much the moral of the story
Doesnt it make more sense the best club signs the best players for the higher fee's? Much more sense than some random club with a rich owner who make zero of their own money paying insanely high prices for poor players who add nothing to the team ( applies to some of your players not all ). I look forward to your reply.
Fair play UIR, at least you now are big enough to admit that big spending helped preserve your status quo. You are scared of that status being challenged, aren't you?
It certainly helps but you wouldnt expect Cardiff to spend more than everyone this summer would you. You would expect United too as we are the Champions. Not really scared, its been ten years since Chelsea started spending big and United remain the best team in the land.
