I understand that Kemps and a lot of the time I have exactly that attitude, City First. However I'm still a football fan who watches MOTD and has to listen to ex Liverpool and Arsenal pundits pushing the old top 4 so I favour the Man City's, the Evertons, the Spurs, Leicester, West Ham etc everytime over the plastic top 4 teams.

Sorry mate, but I haven't watched MOTD, since I was something like 30 until we were in it.

Man City fans lived in the shadow of United for decades, I think their dominance now is brilliant. I'm also more than comfortable with their ownership as Saudi, UAE and Qatari arms deals kept me in highly skilled employment for years at Brough so no problems there.
That’s a very fair point re employment through our arms deals with the Middle East.

I live in Manchester, used to live walking distance from Old Trafford, now I'm about 5 miles from the Etihad. I know lots of people who've supported Utd & City for years, so I have no problem with them. Liverpool fans that I meet are mainly foreigners, with the exception of the few scousers I know & my mate from Scarborough, who's never been to Anfield. Most scousers I've met have been Evertonians.
Of course, not living in Hull, I don't see the plastic side of football, although if someone is in their 40's & supported Utd for all that time, then I wouldn't really call them plastic. Same with my mate, he's supported Liverpool since he was a kid, with the exception of the cups they've won over the last 20 odd years, he's had a lot of fun watching them be runners up or worse before that.

Had talksport on the other night for some reason, it was just after Everton had won, and all the calls from Liverpool fans were clearly not scousers. Says it all.

One of them wanted Klopp sacked. He sounded like he lived in ****ing Camden.

I know people in their 60s who have supported Man Utd all their lives. I call them plastics because they have adopted a club they have no connection with. Laughable to hear them saying how they stuck with them through the bad times. I always say do you mean 1974/5 when you spent a season in Div 2, the division we have spent most of our history in? Some say the club chooses them. Aren't they lucky that Rochdale, Crewe or Gillingham didn't choose any of them?

See, this is why I hate Arsenal fans above all others. They are the most entitled bunch of pricks, and whenever they don't win, act like they've been ****ing liquidated.

It's a good job they support Arsenal tbh, because if they supported a lower league club, they'd be dead.

Bravo Barch.

Think I've posted about the silly LFC **** I heard say "We've been through it" when reflecting on his crazy see saw odyssey from top to 6th place and back. over the last 40 years.

These people are the Japanese knot weed that undermines our game - weak-minded, spineless unsure turds who are groomed by SKY, BT and MOTD to fill the coffers like clapping seals.

Another good article from the Daily Mail relevant to this. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...es-realise-just-football-really-means-us.html
