not an achievement yet you failed to win it last season we could also point out we are one of only four clubs that have ever won every European competition and the only English team to do so.
You could point that out. But that would be like Preston boasting they are the only team to win all four English divisions. It's a nice bit of pub quiz trivia, but you know you would sacrifice the EL and CWC for another CL trophy in a heartbeat.
Yes, so whats your point? That no team should be happy with whatever they win because its all just crap unless its the CL?
not that excuse again !! try to be original PLS am not saying wining it was bad ..tbh i think it is not a bad trophy to add to the cabinet, better than nothing .. but my point was regarding chelsea fans and how some changed opinion 180 degree so fast when a year ago they were laughing on UTD for playing at this competition ..
I could remind you how you were adamant that we shouldn't sign Robin van Persie as he was too old and too expensive then banged on all season that he was the best player in the league like it was your idea we signed him. I won't though. The point is, this being football, fans change their opinion to suit themselves as often as they change their kecks. We know they took the piss last year, so do they. It's just the same when Liverpool win the carling cup, it is instantly no longer mikey mouse.
tbh no one had doubted that RVP will lift the club in the short term .. i still hoped we had got a younger classy player for the future more as Sir Alex was retiring .. nothing changed about that .. and now with Sir Alex retiring, this signing is even make more sense now .. beside RVP didn't banged on all the season .. he had rally an average end of season, a 10 matches in a row without scoring by end of season .. beside he scored 8 goals less this season overall compared to last season with Arsenal .. he was way better with Arsenal
Chelsea fans will try justify greatness after the fact now they've won the EL it was the "Plan" all along, but you would have had to ask yourselves at the start of the season "do we want to go out of the CL at the group stage to have a chance to win the EL", the answer would have been "no, we aint interested in that mickey mouse cup" and any statement to the opposite would be a total lie. Instead you are trying to say failing in the CL and succeeding in the EL is a rare and great achievement, winning the EL with the most expensive team in the EL was a half decent achievement but failing in the CL group you failed in was a pretty poor showing so all in all given the cost of that team winning the EL is a slightly better than modest achievement maybe, this grand slam nonsense is just some delusion that tries to wipe out the fact of failing, that's why you were in the EL, failure. retaining the European cup, now that is something I would be happy to give Chelsea some credit for, but this grand slam you mention is nothing more than circumstantial and would not be so if you had not failed miserably in Europe, somehow a lot of you Chelsea fans are delusional enough to think the uniqueness of being the worst defending champions league winners ever makes Chelsea uniquely great or a cut above the rest
Liverpool would just love to qualify for either. Liverpool are very envious of the club Chelsea have become, i.e. the 2nd biggest club in England. The top 3 are clearly now Man Utd, Chelsk, Arse. Spurs, City, Liverpool squabbling over 4th
Liverpool have won the UEFA cup and Liverpool fans were happy to win it. Any other team that wins it are happy to. But the truth remains true, Chelsea fans ridiculed the EL until they were in it and won it and given this hindsight of winning it now claim it makes them great winning it. No longer are they calling it the Thursday cup, until next season starts when yet again it will become the Thursday cup. That is the point, if their fans have always said it was not a bad comp after the group stages and they wouldn't mind winning it and adding to their not too overstocked trophy cabinet then fair enough, do you think people would be laughing at Fulham if they won it, of if Newcastle won it this season, no, because their fans didn't ridicule it. You just don't get it I'm afraid. it is obvious if you boil it down winning any trophy is success but that is not the point. It takes me back to Evra saying it was an embarrassment going into the EL, how pretentious was that given he was not good enough to win it or even make the final. If United had won it that year, Evra would have celebrated. I also notice you fail to take on my argument you disliked? why, can't? Lets see you debunk what I have said rather than bring Liverpool into it and insulting a club that is not even being discussed, how silly are you
Ironically so are you, you did exactly the same last season except you got knocked out of both comps. What the **** do people expect us to do? Not cheer when we win it? Get a ****ing grip.
Care to explain why Drogs? That is your response far too often. There is nothing wrong with the EL trophy, and it was success when Chelsea won it, that ain't the point, the points are other aspects of what a lot of you chelsea fans are claiming by winning this trophy and the total hypocrisy therein
He really is the biggest idiot on the planet. Clearly not a true football fan either as he doesnt support his home team. Just a plastic glory hunter (who was too thick to even choose Utd or Chelsea who win loads). His opnion means nothing, he has never seen Liverpool and has a serious chip on his shoulder when it comes to Chelsea. Probably because of jealousy
The fact that nobody said anything like what you said for a start. Saying we hold both cups is a tongue in cheek comment as we are only going to do so for about 10 days.
You know as well as I that most Chelsea fans on here slated the ****e out of the EL and from you I can well take it as tongue in cheek, but for lots it is true deluson Anyway, not as if any logical person can knock two European trophies in two years
What has that got to do with anything being discussed here? if you can't read my post and debunk it, why even reply?
It is relevant because you often call people 'plastics' yet you dont support your home team. Why? It must be for gloryhunting reasons.
I am not calling anyone plastic atm. Besides you just don't understand inheriting a team, how many sons support the team their Dad supports and also, how many support more than one team? I support 3 teams, no 4 How, cos I buy the kit and watch the games and cheer them on. Who said you can only support one team, I support an ice Hockey team, used to support the Bulls in basketball when I was into the sport a long LONG time ago. When you sit down and talk is your voice muffled? I see you still can't read my post up above and tell me why you disagree Deflection, the tool of a loser and a communist
