Porto fans would probably say otherwise. Most people don't give a **** you won your 20th title but a lot cared that Wigan got their first trophy. All about perspective.

We only have the record cos you failed to win it 2 years ago. :D

What is worse, losing in a final and going out in the groups the next year or winning the final and going out in the groups the next year. Mmmm...tough one.

are you not the CL champions until the following final is held and a winner emerges the following year? you are Champions until you give the trophy back, which Chelsea have done so already thus relinquishing their Title as European Champions, how can you be without the trophy but just a dust free spot in your cabinet, not like they own a European cup<ok>

They are Champions of the rest of Europe, not champions of Europe<laugh> oh, and last years winners of the CL, other than that they are plastic ****bags who slated the manager and player all season that has given them success, now all of a sudden, 100 years of history, which 90+ of those years are a a bleak history, is claiming Torres is great when he's been slating the guy all season.

Plastic fickle fools that will grasp at any straws of achievement, like Terry..

you know how much chelsea had sunk when they start celebrating a EUROPA league win.. when just a year earlier they were laughing at us when UTD was playing in this competition, even one of them had added UTD and Europa league logo in his signature as an insult to UTD .. now suddenly this competition is worth it .. how pathetic are those chelsea fans? <laugh>

Oh yes, that made ManU the first English team dumped out of Europe twice in one season.
I think i'd rather have our record to be honest <doh>

A trophy is a trophy. Most clubs in the country would swap their Season for Chelseas in a heartbeat (obv not united). You may have struggled in the final, but semi and quarter final performances were brilliant. Deserved winners and well done.

OK, well done then on being the 2nd team to get kicked out twice in one season. (you and City went out the same day)

I must admit I am jealous that we didn't do that and instead went on and won it :1980_boogie_down:

Europa league is a nothing competition at the end of the day, we all slag it off to hell and pray our clubs are good enough not to qualify for it. Fair enough you won it, well done <ok> but its not a massive achievement to win a second rate competition. As for holding both titles at the same time, i can honestly say i hope we are never in a position to do that to go from champions of Europe to champions of....well nothing is pretty lame to be honest.

Yeah, "holding both trophies" just shows Chelsea sliding from the best to the 17th best in Europe. Excuse me if i don't fall over myself in envy. Fair play for doing a better job in it than we did of course, once your in that competition you might as well have a go, but nobody here is going to be overly impressed that they won something we were too good to get into this year. I found the whole thing very uninteresting when we were in it and i still do now.

Aye, the EL is effectively the European version of the Championship. If you're in the Championship, you can only win the Championship, and if you win it well done. But I still think most clubs would rather be in the PL even if they aren't going to win it <ok>
