Yeah, but to sustain that for a full season we've needed Cisse to come in and start scoring, and HBA has only started playing second half of this season. Sorry, missed that.
I think we all know that we need a proven goal scorer, and maybe even another back up striker...Personally I would sell Catts to help finance this..
Would we need to? We'll get decent money from sales of gyan Gardner Richardson and maybe Sess. Sell Catts for 4-5m and bring Diame in for free. Wouldnt hate that deal if it meant other helped us land a goalscorer. Rodellega on a free would be great for back up for another new signing. Id also have Figueroa on a free to slot it at left back. The Wigan three on a free!!!
On a similar note to what you were saying parker, back when Newcastle were in the championship i remember having many conversations with a Boro mate of mine about how it was clear players like Carroll, Taraabt (then at QPR but on loan from Tottenham) and Adam Johnson were clearly good enough to play at the top level. Most teams had at least one or two players you could highlight at being good enough to be given the chance to play in the Prem. Everton have been a dab hand at it - Cahill, Lescott, Jagielka.
Strikerx2 Midfielder(Attacking)x1 LBx1 CBx1(Cover) Also I quite liked the look of the lad Ince (Blackpool)?
Nucleus of a top 6-to-8: Westwood, Mignolet, Brown, O'Shea, Kilgallon, Bardsley, Cattermole, Meyler, Vaughan, Colback, McLean, Sessegnon Loanees for next season who could be very good: Wickham, Cook, Laing, Knott, Noble -did I miss anyone? Sell quite a few and add at least 1 creative midfielder such a Hoilett + 2 strikers + a couple more squad players or keep the likes of Turner, Richardson, Gardner as back up for injuries ...I agree, wholesale 10-in-10-out changes should be avoided and the nucleus of our current squad can do the business, they have proven this!
