No it was the fact that having inherited a shambles from Bruce, he set about trying to build a club. 15 months for a man with his pedigree was simply ludicrous. I enjoyed seeing us sign Fletcher and Johnson and also enjoyed his player of the season acquisition in Danny Rose and free signing Cuellar offered a risk free experienced defender. Danny Graham was a poor signing but then if we are to criticise every manager for the bad buys they make, then the likes of Clough, Ferguson, Mourinho and Wenger have made far worse to answer for and far more expensive ones at that. We only just limped over the line with the madman in charge and seeing some of the antics he got up to now revealed, its a major miracle we did just that. No one can say MoN wouldn't have also crept over the line with 6 points and then built again in the summer. A man that has a career up there with the best on offer, we would have had a far better long term future under MoN than ever we would have under his replacement and we wouldn't be in the utter pan ****e we currently are, scrapping around looking at Avram Grant, Tony Pulis and Steve McClaren? Are ANY of them better than MoN? Gus Poyet is now the only viable option and he seems to be more desperate by the day to get here - dont know if that's good or worrying tbh. Still as your big on individual opinion, this is just mine not some push to be the Che Guevara of the 606 forum.
I disagree with people saying we would have definately gone down under MoN, how can anytone say that. I agree the football wasn't pretty to watch, but I would have backed him all day long over PDC. I hear now that the Players having flexed their collective muscles are now wanting a British manager...so we await Mclaren or Pulis. For those who were shouting to get rid of MoN.....maybe a little more time was required...as most of you wanted to give PDC

Are you really being serious, there are loads of people who'd say that, there are people on this thread saying that ........ or did you somehow miss that? Or are you issuing an order when you say, "No one can say MoN wouldn't have also crept over the line with 6 points and then built again in the summer." Che Guevara Don't be so daft man, I was asking you a few little questions. Or do you think your word is law on this forum?
