That is quite honestly the biggest load of old bollocks i've ever read, where's the mention of Warnock claiming Johnson hit the deck? Conveniently forgotten? Whatever, nice bit of QPR fanwankery!!

I'd like to ask the fans baying for Johnsons ban this question how long do you think Barton should have gotten for Gervinho then? Honest question, honest answer because whatever they think Johnson should get Barton should have 10x over for that incident
 
no action will be taken against johnson and nor should it. replays were inconclusive so how can they possibly tell if there was no contact? the decision was correct. maybe johnson did use a bit of gamesmanship, only those two will know, but barton said he never touched him but then tweeted to say he did, while warnock said he dived to the floor when he didn't. nobody comes out of this looking good except for me, cos i've just had a nice haircut <ok>
 
I don't blame Johnson at all, as for the recoil even if there was no contact if you see something like that twat coming at you you'd recoil it's a reflec reaction. As for rubbing his nose well only those 2 really know for sure. What it really highlights to me is where were all the cameras LOL for a prem match it's laughable they couldn't get a proper shot of it

blame qpr's shoddy ground for that one!

not enough has been made of barton's barge into johnson - it was very, very aggressive and you are right that johnson was probably thinking 'what the funk is this guy gonna do next?'
 
What I find bizarre in all of these articles is that they all neglect to mention that the 4th official can have an impact. Even MOTD didn't highlight him in any way. If the 4th official saw it and communicated with the ref, the time that would have taken would easily have been enough for the ball to be played out and the foul by the Norwich player have happened. Then all the squabbling breaks out, and only when he's calmed all of that down can he have a proper conversation with the other officials, and come to the conclusion he did. Still, I guess we'll have to wait for the outcome of the appeal now, then we might here more from the officials.
 
i thought motd made a complete shambles of their punditry on the whole subject. if you think about it, they didn't say it wasn't a red card, but they didn't say they thought it was, and they didn't show the best camera angle which everyone else has seen, and they didn't, as you say, highlight that the 4th official may have pointed out the incident...

shearer and hansen really earn their corn, don't they <doh>
 
The commentary I was watching said that it was the 4th official who made the call. Which would explain why play wasn't stopped.
