There's a whole thread on your board devoted to your obsession with Man Utd.
There's a reason you don't claim any of us saying "Next year will be our year" - because we don't do it...unlike Liverpool fans do, like clockwork.
If you ask Man Utd fans who their biggest rivals for trophies are, they will say Chelsea or Man City.
We don't think finishing fourth is good enough, we think Champions League qualification is what we should be achieving.
Given your fans spent several seasons crowing about finishing fourth, third or second, it's a bit rich saying it's arrogant for another club to do likewise.

A few years ago, Newcastle fans were the laughing stock of the Premier League because of their psychotic levels of delusion about the clubs' standing when they were finishing in the top half of the bottom half of the table, but since then they've lost their crown of most deluded fans due to a combination of their fans calming down and having a more realistic perspective on their club, and Liverpool fans getting far, far worse in their delusions of grandeur and perspective of their clubs' current standing.

The fact you claim Man Utd fans view Liverpool as a rival for trophies is why you lot are often called deluded. Chelsea have been the main rival for eight years, Man City for the last year or so, and Arsenal for the last fourteen years. Liverpool aren't a rival for the title, they're a record that is there to be equaled and broken, both of which have happened in the last few years.

You cant read obviously, I said United see us as there biggest rivals, biggest game of the season etc, a bit like you and Arsenal.I actually said we are currently not rivals for any club for the PL trophy(like yourselves), though at least we won one cup and were in contention for another. Try reading before you make your deluded, arrogant comments.

I read this: ...though if you ask most Utd fans who their biggest rivals are they would say Liverpool - that just is not the case, and hasn't been for a long time. Sky have put more emphasis on their games with Arsenal, Chelsea or City for the last dozen years than their games with Liverpool. You seem to misunderstand the concept of a rivalry - both sets of fans have to feel the same way (which is why get a lot of enjoyment from West Ham fans claiming to be our rivals)

Speaking for fans of other clubs is deluded and is arrogant. As for saying we're not rivals with other clubs, at the very least we were rivals with Arsenal and Chelsea for one of the Top 4 spots before the season started, before Newcastle were added to the mix - so saying we weren;t rivals for anyone is also deluded and arrogant, with a handful of sour grapes thrown in for good measure.

  4. It never ceases to amuse me that Mousers continue to flatter themselves that they are genuine rivals to United (let alone their main rivals) <laugh>

That's like Barnet claiming to be Arsenal's main rivals.

    Utterly incredible!
