Wow, just read the religion thread. This board is turning nastier and nastier by the day. Billy's completely lost the plot (said this months ago) and just a 2 day ban for disgraceful comments like them explains why this forum will never be a success again.
For the moderator to reduce the ban from 7 days to 2 days is just plain stupid. He should be banned for much longer for such disgraceful comments IMO. The moderator should setting an example,not condoning his behaviour
It is already a success though, and we've had a recent influx of new posters on the toon board so things are defo on the up again.
And when did I condone the comments, to ban is easy, a press of a button but there needs to be a reason for it so whats the reason for the ban on Billy, IYO.
If you think those comments by him only deserve a 2 day ban,i think your not doing your job correctly,you as moderator should be unbiased in matters like this.
Howay man its not the end of the world that the ban has been reduced. Its diffcult for Syd to please all of the people all of the time. From your point of view, you'd have banned him for longer. Others might have thought a days ban would suffice. If you're Syd, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.
OK I get the message about what you think of me but how about answering the question, how long and importantly why. Its very easy to criticize but I am asking what you would do and why.
You have said your piece when you started a thread about it, fair enough. You are now starting to try and dictate things which isn't your job, it's up to the mods and whatever punishment they decide, we all accept.
WP.If he is allowed to get away with those comments,the forum will end up like 5-1 says. And this has happened several times before,but this went to far.
