One of the reasons I chose Orca. Ever seen the documentary when the Orca flip Rays/Skates out of the sand with their noses, bite a chunk out of them and leave the rotting remains to drift aimlessly to the bottom? Appropriate I believe.

Penguin. I got bitten by a penguin at the zoo in the Common donkeys years ago. What ever happened to the zoo ? Penguins would see skates off no problem.

Penguins aren't exactly known for speed, are they? And every time the Flybe planes went over SMS, the team would look up and fall over.

Use your imagination Fran. The pitch becomes the sea and in the sea, there are not many creatures as speedy and flexible as a penguin, making darting runs all over the place to confuse the enemy.

Polar bears eat fish. We should have them as our mascot. Dolphins are cool but a little effeminate. I don't even know what Ocra is, I thought it was a vegatable

If that's a gag, it's quite good. If not, try looking at it spelled, 'Orca'... Killer Whale.

I think one of these patrolling in front of the away fans would keep them nice and quiet:

Ah, the Fossa, hadn't heard of it till I watched Attenborough's Madagascar series. Interesting Beastie. On the subject of carnivorous marsupials, I really really hope that there is some truth behind the alleged sightings of the Tasmanian Tiger, and that it isn't in fact extinct.

Clearly the correct answer is sharktopus, a close second would be piranhaconda
