Just heard about the death of one of the biggest stars of our time.
We all knew they had it coming with the pale white skin and slits for a nose, they'll be greatly missed.

    RIP Voldemort...

Amy Winehouse didn't do the kind of music I am into but she had problems she couldn't handle and she deserves sympathy.

all I'm going to add is that some of you should take a look at yourselves before judging others; it's a sad day who knows what she could have gone on to produce with a loving hand..

As an old Jazz/Blues/Gospel fan believe me this girl could have gone down as the all time great. She will be forever remembered through the music that she left behind but just think of all the songs that the world has missed out on through her unfortunate and sad demise. Reminiscent of the great Billie Holiday, another who fell under the spell of drugs along with Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Chet Baker and countless others, Amy maybe didn't appeal to all but will be the topic for discussion among the Jazz pundits for years to come as they talk about "oh, what might have been"!

Good riddance as far as I am concerned. One less crackhead to worry about. These drug addicted idiots get everything they deserve. What a fantastic role model she was.

I'm sorry for her family, but when a smack head topping herself becomes bigger news than a lunatic murdering over 90 people I really do hang my head in shame at the press in this country. Embarrassing

but it didnt, did it? the nature of news is that the new stuff moves to the top of the list. it doesnt "trump" it. otherwise would you expect the press to still be talking about the tsunami at the end of 2004 that killed 230000?

    That's a very poor comparison.

That massacre happened 2 days ago and they are still announcing the dead. I turn on the news today and it's rife with Amy Winehouse bile. To be honest I have no sympathy with somebody who has been injecting toxic into their own blood for the last 4 years.

I don't expect anything else from our media. They totally ignore the impending financial meltdown in the USA, the war in Libya and now they brush the worst massacre in Norway since WW2 under the carpet whilst they have wall-to-wall coverage of a smack head over-dosing.
