Until Jakupovic is given a chance in the first team, nobody who watches Hull City will ever know what he is like
Well yeah I totally agree, Im not saying anything else. To be honest it was a bit of a lame joke.... As for Jankupovic, I have no idea if he's good or not but the fact that when he was fit Bruce was picking Oxley ahead of him for the bench says a lot about his performances in training.
I'd forgotten about that one, and that could, and really, but for very good fortune, should have cost us another two points. I'm not gonna slate the boy but perhaps it is time for him to have some time out of the spotlight. Whatever happens I'm certain that SB will find a solution, after all, as already stated in this thread, the goalkeeping role is a large part of that all important spine of any team, I'm certain that he recognises that and will take action. Just a thought though, after so many recent mistakes by Ben, wtf is the goalkeeping coach doing?
If Mannone was in goal we'd be top. The points about the defence feeling confident in front of a commanding keeper are true. Vito was both talented AND vocal. But he was never ours so we have to get on with it. Japukovic is ours so let's see what he's up to.
I was at the game and it wasn't just the 1st goal, he threw the ball straight out if play to give them a throw in level with the edge if our box and invite more pressure, his kicking was ****e all game and they put in several crosses he seemed reluctant to claim , none of the saves he made where ones you wouldn't expect him to make, the other guy who's name I can't remember how to spell at least deserves a chance .
Maybe the real reason Bruce was at Sheff Utd Vs Pompey? He was sat next to Dave Jones. As has been mentioned - Myhill out of contract in the summer, so is Brad Jones, and sounds like Sorenson might want out of Stoke... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/thomas-sorensen-seeks-january-move-1427973
I was not at the game and have only had the benefit of the saturday night 'glimpse' of our team's efforts. It was a fact that Amos was to blame for the first goal, no argument there; but in that brief glimpse of the game I saw him perform at the top drawer of a goal keepers abilities. We took a young lad on loan and we all knew he was not the done-deal; so we lack a little style in how some decide to berate the lad. He will win us games and he will lose us games and it is only games and support that will swing the kilter of favourable bias to wins. I can understand the calls for a more experienced pair of hands to bolster our promotion push and if one is secured then so-be-it. In the meantime Amos needs to respond with a positive belief in himself; SB has publicly criticised him and by doing so he has defused the fans popular vote - a sound head holds that battered mush - well done Steve. The manager may rest Amos, but we should all support him - the ref did us more damage that the GK - or so I've read!
Starting for the U21s is a pretty big deal. What's up with the lad who usually starts ahead of him? Steele at Middlesbrough isn't it? Is he injured or was Amos picked on merit?
Caps at U21 are not be sniffed at, but I think Hesford got 7 caps. Apparently Steele slightly miscued a kick which indirectly led to a goal a couple of minutes later, so he has rightly been put on the scrap heap
Steele played the second half, he hasn't actually played much this season(only 3 appearances for Barnsley, all recent, so I assume he's been injured).
