Norty Amit, like TF/Mittals are businessmen and will only do what is good for business. I am not saying that 'one day' Amit will not leave, because like TF/Mittals he will. I don't need to 'read between the lines' because if i wanted to i could make him sound like he was buying ManU or flying to Mars? People will make of it what they want. All i am saying is, that he won't be going anywhere soon with the big Sky money coming in and the chance to make QPR worth a lot more than it is today.
I agree with Northolt and Matt. It's something of a hollow assurance. If Amit was seeking to assure people unconditionally, why even mention he will have to move on. We all know nothing last forever. Why not just say, "I'm going nowhere". If nothing else, the subject matter of this thread has served to highlight that this is not a true joint venture between the Fernandes syndicate and the Mittals. In my view, things will go one of two ways. Either the Mittals will negotiate with Fernandes to make it 50/50 (which could well be the issue behind the doors at LR at present and why TF is being so quiet about all this), or the Mittals will get out, which may start with Amit leaving his executive role and will ultimately end in the sale of shares. So personally, I don't think this is a fuss about nothing. But for now, absent any new facts, we just have to wait and watch
I need to stop posting on this thread because by the end of the day Amit will be buying Brentford? I would only say that people should watch the Xfiles or the Conspiracy Channel?
Only thing I'd criticise our owners for. Interacting with the common fan on Twitter. How d'you back out for a break or revised strategy? Somewhere in there amongst them seething hordes are people convinced they've touched the gods and that everything is henceforth set in stone... How many soap addicts believe the actors are real people? Spooky! Lesson to be learned. Stand well clear at the best and worst of times imho.
