He hasnt been booed for weeks, last game was the 1st time and it was well deserved too. Well its official that Barton is the worst passing midfielder we have. Only Delap, Pedersen and Larsson have worse pass ratios but the stat was that barton had misplaced more passes than anyone else.
I have been to every home game bar one. Wednesday was the worst it has been but it has been bad since he got sent off (stupidly) against Norwich. Cisse got sent off (stupidly) against Wolves but he is a super hero. There have been moans and groans since September when he first joined. Klasnic is a centre forward. Barton is a midfielder. He should be marked by a centre half, not a midfielder. Maybe the people that are making the comments are the same people who are doing the booing?
Ah come on, Faurlin is almost a master of letting people run off his shoulder. Never seen you complaining about that. Further reinforces my point. So you've got the Klasnic one. I'm sure if we went through the matches this season we could also pull out several examples of Barton covering for other people when they're out of position and tracking back 50-60 yards with a runner. It's highlighted because it led to a goal. It was a mistake, every player has made loads this season. If Suarez had scored that early chance when Onuoha inexplicably missed the ball and let it through his legs, would people be moaning about him. I doubt it. It hasn't even been mentioned because Suarez couldn't finish his dinner at the moment.

The Klasnic goal is typical of different peceptions, Col! For me Barton was the only one to come close, but not close enough, so you ctiticise him for not tracking back! OK Barton could possibly have done better, but where were the rest of our midfield who should also be tracking back? Because they were not even close, they escape criticism but in fact they were the more culpable!
Hes also got the same match rating as Cisse which proves their subjective stats are bollocks. He hasnt had a better season than Mackie, Cerny, Traore etc either. They rank Hill and Diakite as the worse players of our 25 alongside Kenny.
Blimey!! Klasnic ran passed Joey towards the penalty area with 5 mins left in the game! Lampard, Gerrard, Spearing, definitely Faurlin..........**** even my 12 year old would have gone with him!! I could understand your support of Barton if he was playing well..........but christ on a bike.......why are you such a big fan?
But where does it say that!!!! Have you not seen the previous page or chosen to ignore it? So many positives in there.... Twice as many key passes to add to an already extensive list! Please back up with the facts flyer and then I'll listen so show us where you're getting this from!
There has been plenty of booing in the Loft. I sit there. Will I tell you rows and seat numbers? In fact, the very same people were moaning and groaning all last season when we were tearing the Championship apart.
Ok...I'm bowing out of this one now, as the comments are getting more and more bizare!! Klasnic was close to Barton and he made no effort to track his run. It was highlighted by pundits etc. Doesn't matter what anyone else is doing, the first rule is to do YOUR job and try to stop the most obvious and urgent threat!! I have seen Joey let players run off him and pull out of challenges all season long!!

I'd say you are bowing out Col as you have totally lost the argurment, contradicting yourself and not been able to justify why you boo your own player.
He is though. I'm not the only one that's said it. He's a wonderful passer of the ball, great at tackling, composed on the ball etc etc and I think he's a great player, but when it comes to tracking runners he's pretty terrible. If you can't see that you need to spend less time with your chalkboard thinking you know everything about formations and more time paying attention to the team
All your stats are subjective, key passes, ratings etc. All my stats are facts, low completion ratio, more misplaced passes than anyone else. Its proven their subjective stats are bollocks. Has Barton been our 3rd best player all season?
