    He's better than Lovenkrands anyway, so aslong as Loven doesnt get a new deal I'll be happy.

    I've always assumed Lovenkrands closes down the keeper and Shola doesn't because it's the managers tactics, not because Shola is lazy.

    Great news. Ameobi's a cult hero and a good squad player. We all know he's not a world beater, but he does a job and generally makes Tyneside a happier place. :)

    Newcastle without Ameobi just wouldnt be the same. It was odd seeing him play for Stoke a couple of years back. Like Pardew has said, he's a good character to have around, and when he does decide to pull his finger out, he's a good player on his day. No doubt we'll be singing Pardew's praises if Shola scores a few against the mackems in next week.

    Good news. Adequate backup and can often win a cheap pen.

    Always been dedicated to the club. Think he gets a bit too much stick. When he plays regularly(ish) he isn't to bad. Think Sir Bobby could have picked worse.

    Hope he is on lower wages now though. Injured too often.
